Reinders Supreme Lawn Seed Mix is designed for the professional landscaper and serious homeowner. Supreme Mix combines perennial ryegrass, creeping red fescue and bluegrass to provide an overall turf that will sustain its quality in sun or shade. Garnet red fescue has narrow dark green blades. In mixtures it compensates for weakness in other grasses with its excellent shade tolerance and drought resistance. Tetraploid perennial ryegrasses offers quick establishment with a vigorous root system, winter hardiness, traffic tolerance and excellent summer quality. Fielder is resistant to leaf spot and summer patch disease. Fielder is an aggressive spreading bluegrass with good rhizome development and a medium turf density. Fielder produces a uniform, attractive turf with a dark green color and medium leaf texture. Mercury has a dark green color, large seed with above seedling vigor and establishment. Mercury has excellent disease resistance and very good heat and drought tolerance.

Supreme Mixture is an ideal mixture for lawns, schools, cemeteries, roadsides, golf course roughs and commercial areas. It is well suited to sun or shaded areas. It is ideal for situations requiring rapid establishment and quick ground cover. Supreme Mixture requires low to medium fertility. The varieties in this mixture have good disease and insect resistance and are very popular on all soil types requiring low to medium fertility.

Maintenance

Supreme Lawn Seed Mix is designed for low fertility requirements, but will achieve a higher turf quality with 2-3 fertilizations per season. A soil test is recommended before any fertilization program to determine just what is needed. A mowing height of 2"-4" will aid turf tolerance to drought and improve weed resistance. Supreme Mix has medium water requirements. The general rule to maintain growth and keep foliage green is an inch of water a week is needed to replace that used by the turf and lost by the soil through evaporation. This can be accomplished either by Mother Nature or by irrigation. The best time to water is early in the morning.
