Attributes Of Specticle® FLO

  • Controls weeds by inhibiting cellulose biosynthesis – its primary site of action is the newly developing root of a germinated weed seedling
  • No stains, no odor formulation
  • Mixable with post-emergent herbicides
  • Newer mode-of-action – controls weeds known to develop resistance to other herbicides
  • Works in turf, landscapes, and hardscapes

  • Apply to turf before weed seeds germinate
  • Use as a broadcast treatment or directed spray on bare ground or mulched areas around labeled ornamental plants and grasses
  • Adequate soil moisture is needed to activate Specticle FLO and provide maximum control
  • If weeds are present, tank-mix Specticle FLO with selective, post-emergent herbicides like Revolver®, Celsius® WG, or Tribute® Total
  • To control emerged weeds in plant beds, dormant turf, cart paths, or parking lots, use in conjunction with a non-selective herbicide

Do not apply on golf course greens, tees, or collars. Do not apply within 25 feet of bodies of water. See label for complete directions and application instructions.

St. Augustinegrass is Protected and Thrives with the Help of Specticle FLO

Manage all those hard-to-control weeds while remaining gentle enough to protect St. Augustinegrass. Specticle FLO provides excellent control on a broad spectrum of more than 90 grassy, broadleaf weeds and annual sedges. And because it offers prolonged control, it means you’ll be spending less time giving your customers a lawn they’ll love.

St. Augustinegrass is a common turf type in Florida, Texas, and other areas in the Southeast U.S. While its tolerance to heat, ability to form dense turf, and relatively good salt tolerance make it a great choice for coastal lawns, it’s also very susceptible to weed infestation.

It can also be sensitive to herbicides. Two applications of Specticle FLO at a rate of 3.5 ounces/acre will give you the tough weed control you need while preserving the health of the turf.

Key Strengths for St. Augustinegrass Protection

  • Prolonged control of common weeds, including goosegrass, crabgrass, and Florida pusley
  • Controls over 90 weeds, including difficult weeds like doveweed, spurge, and chamberbitter
  • Long residual and broad-spectrum
  • Non-staining formulation with low odor
  • No EPA signal word
  • Labeled for home and commercial lawns, sports fields, cemeteries, landscape ornamentals, and hardscapes.

Investing in the Right Products to Keep Your Grounds Thriving Brings Big Savings Long-Term

Lawn care professionals have limited preemergence or post-emergence herbicide options to manage weed issues. Many preemergence herbicides do not adequately control many hard-to-control weeds like doveweed, chamberbitter, and spurge. And post-emergence herbicides can require repeated applications for control. While some options are less expensive upfront, they ultimately cost more in the long run because they require more visits and more herbicide applications to get the job done right. Using Specticle FLO improves weed control, reducing callbacks, improving customer retention, and ultimately increasing profitability.
