Humic DG is a uniform granule which utilizes The Andersons proprietary dispersible granule (DG) technology. Each granule will disperse into thousands of particles with irrigation or rainfall, facilitating incorporation of the product into the soil. The hard granule has a low moisture and dust content, allowing it to be easily blended with other components, such as urea-based fertilizers. Humic acid products, such as Humic DG may increase or enhance micronutrient uptake while improving and replenishing depleted soils.
With DG Technology, particles are more rapidly and efficiently broken down. Upon contact with water, each DG granule disperses into thousands of micro particles that move through the turf canopy into the root zone. This level of dispersibility delivers precise nutrient delivery, while eliminating issues associated with runoff and nutrient loss.
No Mower Pickup - Following irrigation, DG products immediately begin dispersing down into the soil, eliminating mower pickup and delivering 100% of the applied nutrients right where you need them. Mower pickup of conventional granular fertilizers is reported to be as high as 15-25%.
No Particle Movement - DG products disperse quickly and completely when watered, moving directly into the soil. In a heavy rain or over-irrigation, conventional fertilizers may float and be carried off the intended application area, or be deposited in low lying areas, where they may cause damage.
No Mower Damage or Residual Shells - DG particles do not rely on a physical coating to release nutrients. Coated fertilizers (used by our competitors) are very susceptible to damage from mowers, resulting in premature nutrient release.
Improved Playing Conditions
Less Interruption of Play - The fact that products utilizing our DG Technology require less watering to disperse the nutrient granules means that you can enjoy less downtime, along with a drier and firmer playing surface.
No Sticky Residue - With DG Technology, you can enjoy a line of products that melt directly into the soil. The result is no sticky fertilizer residue, which can accumulate on shoes, balls and other equipment.
Humic Acid Precursor
Humic acid precursor contains a soluble form of organic carbon which releases into the soil as Nutri DG and DG Pro granules disperse. Through biochemical reactions in the soil, humic acid precursor is transformed into humic and fulvic acids, which help chelate nutrients in the soil. The optimum rate of humic acid precursor is applied when Nutri DG and DG Pro are applied at label rates.

- Trees, Shrubs
- Ornamentals and Bedding Plants
- Potting Soil
40 LBS feeds 40,00 SQ FT (0.92 ACRE) at the LOW RATE
40 LBS feeds 20,000 SQ FT (0.46 ACRE) at the MEDIUM RATE
40 LBS feeds 10,000 SQ FT (0.23 ACRE) at the HIGH RATE
- For best results, after application, water area with a minimum of 0.3 inches of water. Product will self-incorporate into coarse textured soils. Cold weather and/or cold water (lower than 45ºF / 7ºC) can result in slower particle dispersion.
- Humic DG can be applied to all crops, including vegetable crops, row crops, herbs and field crops; trees; shrubs; vines; turf; ornamentals; nursery; xeriscaping; garden landscaping and potting soils.
- TURF - Apply 40-200 LBS per ACRE per year. Apply 1-2 LBS per 1,000 SQ FT any-time during the growing season. Can be applied after aeration as a top-dress treat-ment. If desired, mix with the sand media. Apply and water in for self incorporation. Make additional applications to deficient areas.
