DIRECT Drift Retardant and Deposition Aid reduces drift risk and maximizes pesticide performance by binding Ultra Small Spray Particles together into larger droplets which are more capable of hitting their intended target. DIRECT's refined use rates and low "phase out" formulation make it the easiest to use liquid drift retardant.

DIRECT will retard, but cannot totally eliminate, drift hazards due to variations in pesticide usage, application conditions and techniques, as well as sensitive vegetation near the target application area. Minimizing spray drift is the responsibility of the applicator.

Application

Use 1 - 4 OZ/100 GAL of spray solution. Always start with the lower dosage and increase as needed to address specific spray conditions. If spray fines are not eliminated, add additional quantities of DIRECT in 1-ounce increments until desired results are achieved.

Always conduct a jar test first, to ensure compatibility.
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING: See special mixing instruction for tank mixes which include Roundup® Ultra and/or wettable powder tank mixes.
General use tank mixes
1. Complete normal mixing and filling procedures.
2. Add DIRECT to the spray solution last at the point of greatest agitation.
3. Continue agitation for at least 3 minutes before spraying and maintain agitation during application.

Wettable powder tank mixes
1. Fill tank one-half full of desired water volume.
2. Add wettable powders
3. Add DIRECT to the spray solution at the point of greatest agitation.
4. Under agitation, add other pesticides and adjuvants in the appropriate order.

Roundup Ultra tank mixes
1. Fill tank one-half full of desired water volume.
2. Add DIRECT to the spray solution at the point of greatest agitation.
3. Under agitation, add other pesticides and adjuvants in the appropriate order.
4. Add Roundup Ultra last.

Restrictions

• Shake well before using
• The addition of adjuvants to some pesticides and/or fertilizers and their tank mixes may cause phytotoxicity to the foliage and/or fruit of desirable crops.
• Before using DIRECT, the applicator or crops advisor must have experience with the pesticide combination, including DIRECT, or must have conducted a phytotoxicity test.
• Excessive use rates of DIRECT will cause a thickened or stringy solution.
• Dilution with water and at least 1 hour of continuous recirculation will help correct this condition.
