The Surge-Mod is a new lighting accessory from FX Luminaire designed to provide extra surge protection for low-voltage LED fixtures.
FX Luminaire created this product to reduce LED lighting fixture failures and field replacements/returns due to power surges, saving contractors time and money.
The Surge-Mod should be installed in line with the two-wire path every five fixtures or every 50’. In lightning-prone areas, they should be installed at every fixture.
The viewing window on the top of the product provides contractors with a visual indication that a surge event occurred, the module saved fixtures, and a replacement module is needed for further protection.
