Black Gypsum DG granules are homogenous and combine natural gypsum and humic substances to form a unique bio-amendment. DG Technology creates a dust-free, spherical, ultra-dry granule that rapidly disperses into thousands of microparticles upon contact with moisture. These microparticles deliver calcium, sulfur, and carbon directly into the soil.

With DG Technology, particles are more rapidly and efficiently broken down.
Upon contact with water, each DG granule disperses into thousands of micro particles that move through the turf canopy into the root zone. This level of dispersibility delivers precise nutrient delivery, while eliminating issues associated with runoff and nutrient loss.

Optimized Nutrition

No Mower Pickup - Following irrigation, DG products immediately begin dispersing down into the soil, eliminating mower pickup and delivering 100% of the applied nutrients right where you need them. Mower pickup of conventional granular fertilizers is reported to be as high as 15-25%.

No Particle Movement - DG products disperse quickly and completely when watered, moving directly into the soil. In a heavy rain or over-irrigation, conventional fertilizers may float and be carried off the intended application area, or be deposited in low lying areas, where they may cause damage.

No Mower Damage or Residual Shells - DG particles do not rely on a physical coating to release nutrients. Coated fertilizers (used by our competitors) are very susceptible to damage from mowers, resulting in premature nutrient release.

Improved Playing Conditions

Less Interruption of Play - The fact that products utilizing our DG Technology require less watering to disperse the nutrient granules means that you can enjoy less downtime, along with a drier and firmer playing surface.

No Sticky Residue - With DG Technology, you can enjoy a line of products that melt directly into the soil. The result is no sticky fertilizer residue, which can accumulate on shoes, balls and other equipment.

Humic Acid Precursor

Humic acid precursor contains a soluble form of organic carbon which releases into the soil as Nutri DG and DG Pro granules disperse. Through biochemical reactions in the soil, humic acid precursor is transformed into humic and fulvic acids, which help chelate nutrients in the soil. The optimum rate of humic acid precursor is applied when Nutri DG and DG Pro are applied at label rates.

• Apply any time as a soil conditioner. Designed to deliver available sulfur, calcium and Humate to a wide variety of vegetable, field and horticultural crops. Black Gypsum’s manufacturing process reduces rate of application necessary, compared to AG grade products. Follow your soil analysis recommendations of pH, OMC, CEC and soil active carbon analysis.

• Apply only as directed. For use on crops, establishment or maintenance of turf, agricultural, fruits and vegetables, nursery crops, gardens, landscape trees, shrubs and flowers. This product will not increase soil pH. It may lower or reduce the soil pH of unproductive, highly alkaline sodium soils.
• Applied to saline-sodic soils, the gypsum will loosen the heavy, hard packed soil, allowing water and air to penetrate and move freely in the soil. Also utilized to repair areas damaged from winter salt and fertilizer.
• When establishing a new turf area, apply prior to or directly after seeding, or while hydroseeding, Irrigation of 0.2" to 0.4" will help the granules disperse (not required for hydroseeding) and self-incorporate into the soil. High clay soils and/o colder temperatures will require a higher rate and additional time to self-incorporate due to the fines soil particles. Product will disperse throughout hydroseeding slurry.
• For corrective soil remediation on established turf areas, apply in spring and fall. Multiple applictions may be neessary depending on cultural situation.

For turf and garden applications: Immediately after application, for optimum results and to disperse the granules, apply a minimum of 0.2 to 0.4" of water. If a second watering is needed to complete the dispersion, wait 10 minutes and again apply a minimum of 0.1" of water.

Restrictions

• Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your lawn and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk or street, back onto your lawn.
