EC Grow's Award Turf Fertilizer 15-0-0 with 0.2% Merit® delivers dependable insect control and turf nutrition in one application. This granular fertilizer contains imidacloprid, a trusted broad-spectrum systemic insecticide that targets pests below the surface. Ideal for controlling white grubs and a wide range of turf-damaging insects, it offers season-long efficacy with a long application window and low environmental impact. The 15% nitrogen formula includes 3% slow-release nitrogen from polymer-coated urea (PCU), promoting steady turf growth and improved resilience.

Active Ingredients:

• Imidacloprid: 0.2%
• Total Nitrogen (N): 15.0% (3.0% slowly available from polymer-coated urea)

Controls:

This product controls a wide range of surface and sub-surface turf pests, including:

• White Grubs (Japanese beetle, European chafer, Phyllophaga spp.)
• Billbugs
• Annual Bluegrass Weevil
• Crane Flies
• Black Turfgrass Ataenius
• Chinch Bugs (suppression)
• Mole Crickets (use with remedial insecticide if adults or large nymphs are present)

Application:

Apply 3.5 to 4.5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft (150 to 200 lbs per acre) as a broadcast treatment. For best results, apply before or during the pest egg-laying period. Irrigation or rainfall is recommended within 24 hours to move the active ingredient into the root zone. Avoid application to saturated soils. For suppression of chinch bugs or mole crickets, apply in advance of hatch or tunnel activity.

Precautions:

Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through skin. Causes eye irritation. Wear protective gloves, eyewear, and long sleeves during handling. Highly toxic to aquatic invertebrates; avoid application near water or in areas where runoff is likely. REI: 12 hours for agricultural uses. Keep children and pets off treated areas until dry.

Store in original container in a cool, dry location away from incompatible substances. Do not reuse empty container. Dispose of in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Do not contaminate water or food during storage or disposal.
