Irrigation valves are used to create various watering zones in an irrigation or sprinkler system. This separation allows different watering devices to all be incorporated into a single system. Each zone can then be watered according to its own needs when it comes to water pressure, frequency or duration.

Need quick coupler irrigation valves or keys? How an electric inline valve? Even if you’re just looking for an irrigation valve solenoid repair kit, Reinders offers the most reliable, durable and problem-free choices for your sprinkler system and more. Our no-fail valves come in a wide variety of sizes and configurations for all applications and budgets, from trusted brands like Toro, Hunter, Rain Bird, Irritrol, Weathermatic and Nibco. And we’ve got all the parts and tools you need for irrigation valve repair and replacement.

Quick Couplers and Keys

Quick coupling valves are the convenient irrigation solution for athletic fields, parks and other commercial irrigation systems. They provide immediate access to the main water supply while allowing you to connect a sprinkler or hose for spot watering without using the entire irrigation system while maintaining vandal-proof, in-ground durability. These valves quickly connect to the main water supply’s pipes and tubes to stop water flow when needed.

One of our top recommendations? Toro’s 1” Quick Coupler Valve with Standard Cover. It offers easy-to-use, tight fittings that allow unrivaled efficiency when it comes to changing out lines, thanks to its hose swivels allowing 360-degree rotation. Sold separately, these swivels come in 1-inch and ¾ sizes and offer unrivaled resistance to kinking and tangling.

Their locking and unlocking covers are made of metal for durability and vinyl for impact resistance.

Irrigation gate valvesIrrigation gate valves

Irrigation Gate Valves

Gate valves are perfect for irrigation systems with high flow rates that require manual on-and-off operations. Placed close to the main water source, they can handle the highest water pressures and control the flow of water to the main irrigation lines with a disk-shaped gate.

We offer the most reliable, versatile, cost-efficient gate valves, with features like a resilient wedge, integral seats and bi-directional service. Our pros recommend the Nibco – TI-8 2” Full Port Brass Gate Valve. Made of the best heavy-duty materials, this smart choice features a screw-in bonnet for a long-lasting, pressure-tight seal against water. The non-rising stem gate valve with its cast iron handwheel offers positive shutoff and the NPT X NPT threaded ends allow for easy installation.

However, standard irrigation gate valves are slow closing, since it takes several revolutions to open or close the gate. In some cases, this is fine, since the closing rate isn’t as important as strength to support a high flow rate. But in applications where you need to stop or start water quicker, you’ll need the quicker-closing sprinkler ball valve.

We recommend our 1-inch, full port ball valve with sweat ends, which comes in a variety of sizes and configurations. Offering a larger-pattern body suitable for most applications, contractors love this model because it requires less torque to use and operates smoother and more reliably than other ball valves they’ve tried. This chrome-plated, brass ball valve also features a nickel-plated handle, so it resists corrosion better.

Also check out our PVC compact socket ball valves from Spears. PVC ball valves offer a more economical choice than brass ball valves, and work particularly well for pools, water treatment and chemical applications.

Electric Inline Valves

An inline electric valve offers a compact, reliable solution for saving water and preventing floods. And we stock a wide variety – more than 200! - from the industry’s top trusted brands like Toro, Rain Bird, Hunter, Irritrol, Weathermatic, K-Rain and Nibco.

Since an inline valve is typically installed underground in a valve box, we know you need a model that’s easy to install and change out in irrigation systems. You also need dependability, durability and flow control features. Although all our electric inline valves are top rated, you can’t go wrong with the Toro 1 ½” In-Line Electric Globe Angle Valve With Flow Control.

Offering the same glass-filled cap and durable body construction as the rest of Toro’s 250/260 series, this 252 series valve stands up to the harshest commercial application, whether electric or hydraulic. Made of rugged ABS material, it’s rated up to 150 PSI, so it can handle the heaviest water pressure and the highest flows. This is also one of our favorites when it comes to debris resistance for harsh climates with dirty water. So you never have to worry about a clogged sprinkler head.

We also like this Toro model for its fabric-reinforced rubber diaphragm, which gives it unmatched tear and stretch tolerance. Another great feature is its globe and globe/angle configurations built into one valve, which make it supremely easy to work with. And the recycled water flow-control handle lets you adjust flow by zone.

Other features of note:

  • Female inlet/outlet NPT
  • Removable, self-flushing 120-mesh stainless steel screen
  • Durable plastic construction is an economical, yet strong choice
Electric anti-siphon valvesElectric anti-siphon valves

Electric Anti-Siphon Valves

Especially important for potable water, an anti-siphon valve has an atmospheric backflow preventer built into the valve. This saves you money on expensive backflow preventers. Electric ones are great because they can double as a control valve and atmosphere backflow preventer, which makes them an ideal safeguard against contamination and low water pressure problems.

Here’s our time-tested, hassle-free choice – Rain Bird 1” Electric Valve With Flow Control and Backflow Prevention. Known for being safe and reliable for the past two decades, this 26/34 plastic valve is chosen more often by contractors for light commercial and residential applications.

Other features:

  • Rated from 15 to 150 PSI
  • Works with any standard sprinkler timer
  • DVF valve and atmospheric blackflow preventer in one
  • I.A.P.M.O. and A.S.S.E listing approved

When you need to find, fix or replace a solenoid, we’ve got more than 30 choices for you. We offer solenoid adapters for plastic valves, potted and latching solenoids and solenoid repair kits.
