The Hunter PGP Ultra is Backed by Power, Technology, and Research
An irrigation rotor is essential for allowing the seamless operation of rotating water streams over the landscape, which is why you need reliable, top-of-the-line rotors and valves to ensure impeccable performance and results. The Hunter PGP Ultra is exactly what you need.
Get Ultimate Precision and Efficiency with Hunter PGP Ultra
Hunter PGP Ultra is just the rotor you need to get the job done if you’re looking to continue building your irrigation system with innovation and performance.
The Hunter PGP valve continues to be the standard for irrigation rotors because of the diversity it offers installers with an array of efficient options on any site. They’re supplied with a full range of nozzles and an extremely low warranty rate.
Introducing: The Hunter PGP Ultra Check Valve
Hunter’s PGP Ultra check valve takes the foundation of the best-selling PGP rotor and raises the bar even higher. A variety of new features have been developed over three decades with the help of research, customer feedback, and lab testing, including a non-strippable drive mechanism and an automatic arc return.
With the help of research, power, and technology, Hunters ¾” inlet rotors, like the PGP Ultra, have many valuable features and benefits. Take a look below to see some of them at a glance:
- Low angle nozzle choices
- Matched precipitation nozzles
- Automatic arc return
- Non-strippable drive
- Part and full circle in one model
- Headed and slotted set screw
- Reclaimed water ID
- Available short radius nozzles
- Available factory-installed check valve with up to 10” elevation change
- Optional pressure regulated body
4” Pop-Up Model
Hunter PGP Ultra’s 4” pop-up height (10 cm) is designed to supply a continuous stream of water to evenly distribute it throughout the contours of the landscaping. It’s an extremely popular sprinkler head type because of its straightforward capabilities and maintenance, but useful features like through-the-top arc adjustments available with the PGP Ultra model help make it more favorable.
A 4” model is a great option to provide sufficient grass clearance. The height also compensates for the inevitable fact that most sprinkler heads tend to sink in the ground slightly. Plus, there’s still plenty of upselling opportunities, allowing the nozzle to clear a little bit taller turf, providing more even watering. More profitable business, happier customers… what’s not to love?
Headed and Slotted Retain Screw
The PGP’s headed and slotted retainer screw is another significant improvement for the inlet rotor that contractors love, with its easy adjustments and similarity to the classic PGP-ADJ rotor from Hunter.
Automatic Arc Return
This is one of the most important features the PGP incorporates into its performance. Hunter PGP Ultra has an internal device that realigns the nozzle housing back into the correct arc setting should the nozzle housing get turned too far to the left or right. Please note: this is not memory arc.
When forced outside of the originally set arc pattern, the automatic arc return takes the shortest point to get back in the correct pattern.
Another fantastic feature of the PGP Ultra rotor is the fully adjustable, non-reversing 360-degree model. The PGP has arc settings of 40 degrees to 360 degrees, offering diversity that improves efficiency on any application stock. With this 360-degree model, you can stock fewer units while providing greater flexibility for customers in the field. It’s even simple to add a drain check valve.
Hunter PGP Ultra’s Nozzle Versatility
Your Hunter PGP rotor comes complete with both blue and gray nozzles and a variety of nozzle choices— all of them designed with a flat front to allow effortless insertion into the sprinkler. If you need a complete set of matched precipitation rate nozzles, Hunter has you covered on that end, too.
The Hunter PGP Ultra is compatible with two racks of specialty nozzles that will improve water coverage and flow.
Black Nozzles- built for short radius, 18’ and 25’
Green Nozzles- high-flow nozzles
Whether you prefer a specialty nozzle or work with the included grey and blue nozzles, rest assured all of them are easy to remove after installation. To remove, simply use a Hunter Wrench or a flathead screwdriver as a small pry to get behind the flat area on the nozzle.
Extensive Field Testing
Each feature of the Hunter PGP Ultra has undergone rigorous testing of internal and external components to guarantee the maximum life cycle possible. These field tests include sand lifecycle testing and heat/freeze testing.
