Amvac - Turfcide Fungicide

TURFCIDE is an excellent solution for control of persistent diseases of turf — from snow mold and brown patch to leaf spot and dollar spot. Preventative applications may be made in spring and fall. For control of existing turf disease, TURFCIDE should be treated at first sign of symptoms. Applied as a soil treatment, TURFCIDE also provides protection against a variety of soil-borne diseases in greenhouses, shadehouses, nurseries, landscapes and field grown ornamentals as well as in interiorscapes. It is available in both granular and liquid formulations. Turfcide® is a contact fungicide to which no resistance has developed after nearly 50 years of use. Always refer to the specimen label use and rate recommendations before applying to turf or ornamentals.

Turfcide is a fungicide for the prevention and control of certain soil borne diseases on:

• Golf course tees, greens, and fairways
• Sod farms
• Industrial parks
• Professional and college athletic fields where turf is grown
  • Restrictions: Turfcide may only be used on professional and college athletic fields for the following diseases: gray snow mold and pink snow mold. See the Use and Rate Requirements for Non-Residential Turf table for additional directions for professional and college athletic fields.

Application

Can be used on Warm and Cool Season Grasses - please see label for details

For best results use Turfcide as a preventive application before diseases appear, however, if you do not apply as a preventive treatment, then apply Turfcide at first sign of disease.

Following application, water areas treated with Turfcide in order to move material down to the soil level. If treated area is subjected to flooding or unusually heavy rainfall, or if disease is severe or reappears, treat the area again.

Under certain growing conditions, a temporary discoloration of the grass may occur. This causes no harm and will disappear in a short time.

Use of Turfcide is prohibited on:

• Golf course roughs
• Residential sites including lawns, yards, and ornamental plants and gardens around homes and apartments
• Grounds around day care facilities
• School yards
• Parks (except industrial parks)
• Playgrounds
• Athletic fields (except professional and college athletic fields - see label for complete conditions)
