Position Description

Reinders, Inc. is a leading distributor of solutions and supplies to the green industry and has a full-time employment opportunity in our corporate facility. We are seeking to fill the role of Operations Clerk.

The purpose of the job is to support companywide daily operations activities including processing, order expediting, logistics coordinating and report compilation. This position requires daily communication and coordination with all departments at Reinders: operations, customer service, accounting, sales, service and outside locations. This position reports directly to the operations manager.

Responsibilities include: paperwork processing relative to inbound receiving and outbound shipping, quoting and coordinating carriers and completing necessary paperwork, weekly compilation of operational reports, communicating shipment status and internal requisitions, participation in year-end inventory reconciliation, company events and other duties related to daily corporate operations.

Experience and Skills

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Proficient use of a computer system – Outlook, Excel, Word and other software
  • Familiarity in receiving, shipping or other operational activities
  • Experience with safety initiatives or LTL freight shipments is a plus
  • Able to stay on task amongst a busy environment and reprioritize as needed
  • Attention to detail is important to detect potential pitfalls and to discern discrepancies

Position Description

We are seeking a Store Manager for our Appleton WI location. This position will oversee the sales and operations at this service center as it relates to the general landscape, irrigation, golf and lawn-care customers. The Manager will work with Reinders’ Field Sales personnel, Operations Manager and Product Managers to plan and implement programs to grow the business at this store. The Store Manager will execute the companies’ operational objectives and strategies to protect the stores’ assets and ensure efficiencies.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attain sales goals and objectives through effective utilization of company assets and staff.
  • Actively manage sales transactions, including counter/phone sales and expediting deliveries.
  • Coordinate sales initiatives between product managers, field sales and internal personnel.
  • Determine pricing initiatives for non-key accounts. Be a communication conduit and secondary contact between key accounts and field sales representatives.
  • Manage store processes pertaining to daily store functions – paperwork processing, bank deposits, facility cleanliness…etc.
  • Ensure inventory, merchandising and marketing coordinates with the seasonality of the business and the customers’ needs.
  • Maintain monthly managerial reporting to meet set standards.
  • Train, develop and manage performance of direct reports.
  • Manage inventory accuracy and coordination of replenishment.
  • Oversee maintenance needs of facility interior/exterior along with any fleet assigned to this facility.

Experience and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years or more experience in irrigation, landscaping, lawn care, nursery, related distribution or management in retail sales.
  • Proficient in Windows environment, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Able to multi-task, while managing details and prioritizing a changing workload
  • Self motivated, strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Must be able to perform basic math functions and read/comprehend written procedures.
  • Computer literate and keyboard proficient
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Customer service experience desired.

Position Description

The Irrigation Draftsperson will work directly with sales people within the irrigation division and help develop plans for Residential, Commercial or Golf Course Irrigation systems. The Irrigation Designer will work closely with Landscape & Irrigation contractors as well as Landscape Architects and builders.

Success in this role will require the ability to work in a very fast paced environment and will require an individual with a commitment to continuing their education in this industry.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Produce irrigation plans
  • Provide a material list from irrigation plans to assist sales people
  • Updating of title blocks, installation details, and symbol libraries
  • Utilize a GPS unit to produce as-built maps/Some travel required
  • Provide sales support when needed
  • Perform/Attend product training seminars and events

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in CAD related field
  • Experience with AutoCAD 2014
  • Proficient in Windows environment including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in irrigation, landscaping, nursery or related fields
  • Prior experience with Trimble GPS products
