Position Description

The Territory Manager oversees all sales activities in the areas of Northern Wisconsin and the U.P. of Michigan. They act as a liaison between Reinders, Inc. and the company’s accounts in that territory. Their primary focus is to increase sales volume within the assigned region by developing key relationships and focusing on maintaining a positive customer experience.

Success in this role also requires close collaboration with sales management, marketing, product development, and customer service, while maintaining a positive relationship with a specific product manager for each account.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain territory coverage plan.
  • Identify and maintain relationships with key Irrigation Contractors, Specifiers and Public Agencies to develop opportunities that drive incremental sales growth.
  • Provide assistance with product selection
  • Develop and implement sales programs and activities designed to aggressively grow market share in the industry.
  • Closely coordinate with team members to gain opportunities and provide exceptional service to customers.
  • Analyze sales results, demonstrate products, educate irrigation users and work as an essential member of the territory team.
  • Perform/Attend product training seminars and events
  • Identify and resolve client concerns

Experience and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years sales experience in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in Windows environment including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in irrigation, landscaping, nursery or related fields
  • Interpersonal skills including ability to influence and negotiate
  • Ability to analyze and present data using communication techniques that demonstrate expertise on company products and market conditions

Position Description

Position Description

Purchasing agents work as a team to execute our strategy by understanding and using Reinders system resources and industry knowledge to ensure that each Customer Service Center has the appropriate mix and depth of product to satisfy normal Customer product requirements at the time their order is placed. Purchasing Agents work closely with location and product managers to continuously improve and maintain four key areas:

  • File Maintenance: An accurate and complete product file makes it easy for our sales organization to find and sell products within the ERP, and the customer web portal. Accurate and complete product files allow for replenishment activities that require minimal manual intervention. This includes creating and maintaining products, descriptions, substitutes, and optional products.
  • Replenishment: The Purchasing Agent works cooperatively with vendors, Product Managers, Warehouse Operations, Transportation, and Management. Purchasing of assigned products using prior sales history, and sales projections, to anticipate customer demand, and minimize operational expenses.
  • Inventory Management: Analyze product usage based on seasonality and anticipated needs. Efficiently manage inventory; considering economies of scale in purchasing, cost of inventory, and location size. Manage sales order fill-rates to reduce customer backorders while maintaining target inventory turns.
  • Pricing Management: Maintain the pricing system to ensure that customer pricing is accurate, with minimal need for manual overrides at the point of sale. Work cooperatively with Product Managers to manage vendor pricing and develop customer pricing.

Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years or more experience in purchasing, irrigation and landscaping, or related field

Position Description

We are seeking a Store Manager for our Plymouth MN location. This position will oversee the sales and operations at this service center as it relates to the general landscape, irrigation, golf and lawn-care customers. The Manager will work with Reinders’ Field Sales personnel, Operations Manager and Product Managers to plan and implement programs to grow the business at this store. The Store Manager will execute the companies’ operational objectives and strategies to protect the stores’ assets and ensure efficiencies.

  • Attain sales goals and objectives thru effective utilization of company assets and staff.
  • Actively manage sales transactions, including counter/phone sales and expediting deliveries.
  • Determine pricing initiatives for non-key accounts. Be a communication conduit and secondary contact between key accounts and field sales representatives.
  • Manage store processes pertaining to daily store functions – paperwork processing, bank deposits, facility cleanliness…etc.
  • Ensure inventory, merchandising and marketing coordinates with the seasonality of the business and the customers’ needs.
  • Maintain monthly managerial reporting to meet set standards.
  • Train, develop and manage performance of direct reports.
  • Manage inventory accuracy and coordination of replenishment.
  • Oversee maintenance needs of facility interior/exterior along with any fleet assigned to this facility.
